Healthy Greens Breakfast Smoothie
Most of the “green” in this Healthy Greens Breakfast Smoothie recipe comes from the V8® Fruit & Vegetable Blends Healthy Greens. Frozen pineapple adds sweetness and avocado makes it creamy. We love the addition of freshly grated ginger – it adds a bit of warm spice that really makes it different (and we think better!) than your average green smoothie recipe.

1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
1/2 small avocado, pitted and peeled
1 teaspoon chia seeds
1 teaspoon grated lemon zest (from 1 small lemon)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon grated ginger root
Directions
- Add the V8® Fruit & Vegetable Blends, pineapple, avocado, chia seeds, lemon zest, lemon juice and ginger to a blender. Cover and blend until smooth.
- Divide the smoothie between 2 glasses and serve immediately.
