Cook Time15 Minutes
Ingredients
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 bag milk chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon salt
Cubes of brownie
Cubes of pound cake
Pretzel sticks
Potato chips
Oreos
Large marshmallows
Banana chunks
Strawberries
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, bring the cream to a simmer over medium heat. Add the chocolate, vanilla and salt and remove from the heat. Let the chocolate stand for 2 to 3 minutes, until melted. Stir until smooth. Transfer to a fondue pot or chafing dish. Serve with your favorite dippers.
Tips:
- Chocolate fondue lends itself to all kinds of additional flavorings. It’s fun and easy to experiment with a few. Try adding the zest of an orange or a couple of tablespoons of your favorite liquor.
- Milk chocolate makes for an ultra-creamy, family friendly fondue, but feel free to substitute dark or semi-sweet chocolate for the milk chocolate in this recipe, if that’s your preference.
