Ingredients
1/2 onion, finely chopped
1 1/4 pounds ground beef
8 slices American cheese
1/3 cup Woodstock Burger Sauce
4 Cub rolls
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Directions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high. Add onion, ground beef, and salt and pepper to taste. Cook, undisturbed, until the beef starts to develop a crust, 1–2 minutes. Flip, breaking up the meat. Continue cooking until browned, 30 more seconds. Arrange cheese over meat, remove from heat, and let melt.
- Spread burger sauce on both sides of the rolls. Divided beef among roll bottoms with a spatula. Top with lettuce and tomatoes.
Tip:
Make it spicy by adding 2–4 tablespoons chopped pickled hot peppers to the beef mixture for an extra punch of flavor.
